Report: Tottenham eyes Bayern Munich winger to bolster its forward group

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur wants to improve their attack as the north London-based club has relied heavily on Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici did add Bryan Gil, but at 20-years-old, it’s too much to ask a young player at this point in his career. As a result, the north London-based club eyes to bring some talent to improve their group.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via TEAMtalk), Kingsley Coman is on the radar of Tottenham as the 25-year-old doesn’t want to extend his contract with Bayern Munich as his deal expires in 2023.

Coman has only scored one goal with the German giants in eight appearances as he’s missed some time due to a heart condition.

Nonetheless, if Tottenham wants Coman, they’ll have competition for the France international as FC Barcelona has their eyes on the winger.

The Bayern Munich forward has made 208 appearances since joining the Bundesliga side in 2017, scoring 42 goals and registering 50 assists. Transfermarkt puts Coman’s value at £49.5-million, so it will be interesting to see if Paratici decides to pay that price.
