Report: Tottenham eye Fiorentina midfielder to replace Tanguy Ndombele

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur wants to move on from Tanguy Ndombele as they’re reportedly having talks with Paris Saint-Germain over the 25-year-old. Furthermore, it seems as though the north London club already has a target in mind to replace the outgoing midfielder.

Sky Sport Italia (via TuttoMercatoWeb) reports that Tottenham could go after ACF Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat if Ndombele leaves the club before the January transfer window closes.

The Italian media outlet claims that manager Antonio Conte has identified Amrabat as a possible replacement for the France international should he complete a move to Paris.

Amrabat has made 11 appearances for the Italian, playing the majority of the time as a defensive midfielder, and is under contract until 2024, so the Serie A side will have to ponder whether it wants to sell him.

When it comes to the possible cost, Transfermarkt puts the Morocco international’s value at £8-million, so Tottenham wouldn’t be breaking the bank for him if they do indeed pursue Amrabat.

I’m reading today that we have the biggest loss in revenue per home game of any other club. An average of just over 8000 empty seats – around £165,000 a match.
Much of that, obviously is a hangover from Covid, but I wonder are the fans finally cottoning on and hitting this little weasel where it hurts.
If so, more of the same please.

I hear Spurs may have some competition for Ollie Tanner’s signature from Yeovil. That will have Levy sweating.

We need another forward option who scores goals, what’s not to like.

Yes more important positions need filling first. Most will come in the summer.

This could also be a case of Porto totally making this up in order to drive interest for the player, as they’re in dire need of a cash injection. As for rotation, it is well and good, but when we have starters like Royal, Dier and the likes, we would do better making sure we have 1 quality player per position before we start thinking of squad depth.

It’s strange for sure. I don’t think it’s a serious bid as it’s well below the release clause price. If it is serious then maybe Conte wants rotation?

This makes no sense. Why would we spend all that money on a left-winger when we have Sonny? That’s practically the only position we don’t need to strengthen. Sure, he’s a great player, but can he be adapted to play on the right? Wouldn’t that money be better applied elsewhere?

The Diaz thing came out of nowhere, and I would think this is another smoke-and-mirrors deal that will fall through at the last moment.

We can offer 37.5M for this player, because they’re not going to sell him for that. We could probably also “offer” 100M for Messi.

Maybe Diaz might write us a nice letter like Rivaldo.

Levy up to his old tricks again – £37.5m offer for Bruno Diaz allegedly, the player has a release clause of double that. So they can offer that amount for Diaz with just 6 days to go in the window but can’t find £20m for Traore. Lies by the Master Bator to try and con the gullible fans that he has ambition.
It happens every window doesn’t it?

Just bought a lovely block of flats though. Resemble Eric Dier in their mobility to be fair.

As one of the top six clubs our Academy should be packed with top talent. It isn’t, once again Chelsea are showing how it’s done.

Spurs will never have consistent success with ENIC as owners.

I suppose Bale was the exception. But it just makes me mad that Levy can sign off on deals for kids in a flash but is taking 6 months for Traore at a mere £20m.
Point is these kids don’t help Conte do they?

If you stockpile enough young players you will get a gem or two just by the law of averages.

“Spurs lodge bid for wonderkid”, yes folks more jam tommorow when the squad is falling apart today. Lewes fc have confirmed that we’ve lodged a bid for a 19 year old who plays non league football. I bet Man City are quaking in their boots.
I bet if we added up all these “punts” for spotty faced youths over the enic era we could have bought Vlahovich outright and paid for his wages for the duration of his contract. Just how many of these kids have made the grade in the PL by the way? The answer is none.
Levy differs in one important respect from a chimpanzee, unlike the chimp he never learns.

It would seem that Traore is not that keen and would prefer to wait to see if Barcelona make an offer. Kessie also does not wish to join us as he is currently playing in a squad chasing a title in Italy. So it would appear that the allure of the billion dollar toilet bowl and the world class training facilities carries little sway with players who seem to be more interested in playing for clubs who are competing to win stuff. This may be the penny that drops for Conte when he realises he is managing a club with a reputation as attractive as a s**t stain on a blanket. Quality players know that THFC are going nowhere with our present owners and understandably they do not want to flush their careers down the toilet listening to the lies and propaganda of Levy and ENIC.

Transfers are rarely easy (despite how things may seem with other clubs) and January is the more difficult of the two windows – But Fabio has hardly pulled up any trees to date given the only signing he’s made that looks like an real improvement on our existing personnel is Romero. He has 6 days to pull a rabbit or two out of the hat!

The Spurs board can’t turn round and say they ran out of time, they’ve had the whole month to sort things our but insist in starting to deal late for the reason of saying we ran out of time, you can’t fool the fans anymore. All of Levy’s underhand tactics are plain to see as we’ve seen them so many times before. His poor recruitment over the years are coming back to bite him as now he can’t get rid of all the poor signings he’s made to make room for more. Levy wouldn’t know a quality signing if he jumped up and kicked him in the teeth. Always linked to the top signings but buying sub quality signings. This window alone we’ve been linked to Vlahovic, De Ligt, Kessie, Dybala, Dembele and Skriniar, I wonder how many of those will sign? Looks like we’ll end up with the likes of Traore who’s scored one goal and no assists all season, looks like we might sign another striker, no ones ever heard of, probably on par with Vinicius. LOL. And God knows what midfielder and centre half we might sign, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck probably. It makes me laugh when the fickle fans get all excited when they hear we’re going to sign this player or that player, Traore’s not that great and look at how long it’s taken Levy to try and get that deal done, LOL He has no chance in signing a top player, they’ve all heard about him lying to Harry Kane and it seems as if Levy has been telling more porkies, this time to Conte. Can’t wait to see what quality Levy thinks he’s going to sign. LOL LOL LOL
Levy, Lewis and ENIC OUT !!
