Report: Tottenham eclipse Premier League elite when it comes to fan spending

Tottenham Hotspur have left their Premier League rivals behind them when it comes to match day earnings.

According to a report from the Sun, the North London club have earned £71.23 per fan on match days during the 2021-22 Premier League campaign.

Tottenham have built a state-of-the-art stadium with the best facilities in the country and they are now reaping the rewards of their investment.

Apart from the world-class facilities within the stadium, they also have the largest club shop in Europe which has helped rake in millions from the fans. The Tottenham supporters have paid a premium to follow their team and Tottenham are reportedly earning around £800,000 on match days from catering.

In second place, Manchester United are earning around £64.27 per supporter. The likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool make up the top five.

Tottenham will look to build a formidable squad in the coming seasons so that they can compete for major trophies. They will need the revenue generated from match days in order to fund their transfer business. The increase in revenue will certainly come as a major boost for them.

Tottenham are having an impressive campaign so far, and despite a few hiccups in recent weeks, they are currently well placed to secure Champions League qualification at the end of the season.

Returning to the premier European competition will only boost their revenues further and the fans will be hoping that their team can finish the season strongly and finish in the top four.
