Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked to the move away from the club this summer.
The 28-year-old Denmark international has fallen down the pecking order at the north London club and he needs to play regularly at this stage of his career.
According to a report from Turkish publication Sabah via SportWitness, Galatasaray have been in contact with the Premier League club regarding a move for the midfielder. Tottenham are reportedly demanding a fee of around €10 million (£8.45m) for the player and it remains to be seen whether the Turkish giants are willing to pay that kind of money for him.
His wage demands could be a problem for the Turkish outfit. The midfielder is reportedly demanding a four-year contract with wages of around €5 million per season. That would take the total transfer outlay to €30 million and it remains to be seen whether the Turkish outfit are willing to spend that kind of money for him.
Hojbjerg has fallen down the pecking order at the London club and he is no longer a key player for them. He needs to move on in order to play regularly and move to Turkey would be ideal for him. He is a proven performer in the Premier League, and he could be a key player for Galatasaray as well.
Meanwhile, Tottenham will have to replace him quickly if he decides to move on. They are already lacking in depth in the middle of the park, and the departure of the Denmark international will weaken them further.
