Report – Spurs will have a new manager by end of the season

By Bruce Grove -

Spurs have set the end of this season as the time to name a new manager.

The Lilywhites have been without a boss since they fired Jose Mourinho, but are on the lookout for a new one.

Several names have been linked with a move to the Tottenham Stadium including Brendan Rodgers and Rafa Benitez.

However, the former has already ruled himself out of the running while the latter doesn’t play the most attractive brand of football.

There are other managerial targets and Spurs could still try for both of the above managers as they look to start the next preseason with a new man at the helm.

Football Insider reports that the week commencing May 24th is the perfect time to expect an announcement about who their next manager would be.

Marcelo Bielsa is one name that has also popped up in recent weeks, but they will struggle to get him and the Argentinean appears to have pledged his loyalty to Leeds United, whom he helped to return to the Premier League this season.

It will be interesting to see who becomes the next Tottenham manager and the Lilywhites will hope he can convince the likes of Harry Kane to stay for another season.

Zero chance of it being Brendan Rogers now, not that there was much more of one before today

If he does leave (he won’t) Leeds are in trouble. Good managers. Not many about and available

If he has a meeting with levy and levy guarantees him (in writing) that funds will be available for a rebuild I reckon he would come.
To succeed where other managers have failed has an attraction
Plus as you say money talkes. A mil a month plus bonuses should do it

Just watched Leeds dismantle Burnley. They have a great thing going there, why on earth would Bielsa leave that to come and manage our bunch of misfits and put up with reporting to Levy

Rodgers ain’t coming. I reckon he would come if Leicester wasn’t in the champions league next season.

It wouldn’t surprise me if that’s the case if they end up in champs league / win the cup today he’ll probably stay but if they don’t ???

Does it matter? With Levy in charge nothing changes regardless what Ryan Mason says about what they have achieved.
They could have done so much more but for the menacing cheap transfer king letting Spurs managers down at the most vital, pivotal moments.
Personally this season is a new low for me, the hamster wheel is slowing down its time to get off🦛

Just a hunch, but I think Rodgers has told Levy that he will decide at the end of the season to see where he is at Leicester, which is why the endless media gossip keeps firing blanks on who we are looking at.
