Report: Spurs To Offer Parrott ‘Major’ Pay Rise

By Joe Fish -

Troy Parrott will be offered a “major” pay rise by Tottenham Hotspur to reflect the club’s ambitions for him, according to Football Insider.

The exclusive report comes from a Tottenham source which understands the teenage striker will be offered a bumper three-year extension.

That would replace the first professional contract that Parrott signed on his 17th birthday in February and reward his rapid progress which has included a full international debut for the Republic of Ireland this week.

Parrott has scored 34 goals for Tottenham’s youth teams since the beginning of last season and made his first-team bow in the League Cup in September.

He is, however, yet to make a Premier League matchday squad and 90min reported last month that German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are preparing bids to offer Parrott more first-team exposure.

Football Insider adds that Mauricio Pochettino and his coaches have great confidence in Parrott and this improved deal would be a big commitment to his potential while opportunities on the pitch remain limited.

Good news.. Keep the lad happy.. To develop though troy needs to be playing week in week out at a high level.. Ideally loaned to any club in any top league where he will be playing every week.. We still need a decent back up striker for kane
