Report: Spurs agree to a fee with Brighton & Hove Albion for star midfielder

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur has found their third summer signing as the north London club has reportedly set to complete the deal for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma.

According to transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano, both sides will agree to a €29-million fee plus add-ons. However, there are final details that need to be finalized before it becomes official.

Last season, the 25-year-old appeared in 28 fixtures where he scored two goals and recorded two assists for The Seagulls, helping them finish ninth in the Premier League.

Spurs have added a player that will continue their efforts to strengthen their midfield; considering last January transfer window, the north London club added Rodrigo Bentancur to their group to go along with Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.

With their midfield now addressed, it will be interesting to see the next avenue Spurs decide to take to improve their squad since they’re linked to defenders and forward to address needs in those groups.

I don’t think Poch is at the level of Conte but I am eternally grateful for him transforming us from utter dross into something resembling a competitive side. To think he would have replaced The Moose with Winks is fanciful. More an example of Levy’s tigt-fisted running of the club whilst he built a property empire.

You do understand the concept of random selection, don’t you? Anyway, who cares when we play them and where? If we’ve got a good enough team to beat that lot then we’ll also be doing well in the CL. Time will tell if this summer’s transfer business will be good enough but I’m very encouraged by the activity so far and I feel its far from over.

I won’t mock this because I did chat to a friend about Pogba’s availability.

I think the wages, lack of form, attitude and the fact he probably wants a fresher start than moving club in the same league make it a non starter…but, saying all that, his talent even at this stage is obvious and he can make very good players look very silly with his outrageous skill (a bit like Ndombele but the difference is he’s never proved anything in his career as of yet).

Intriguing but not for Spurs.

Always great thinking. Currently 6 mids will be on the books with Yves coming in whom I wanted before we signed Betancur. Erikssen will be the man for me next without any looking back on his past or sentiment. He is the best available. I hope they move Tanguy whom I like as a baller, he has magic in his feet, he needs to get it together. Conte was using Brozovic with Erikssen early in the season in a 2 attacking mid under Martinez and Lukaku and it never worked until he drop Brozovic deeper and let Erikseen operate by himself under the 9 and 10. I can see that here with Son and Kane keeping Harry closer to goal as he did with Lukaku. Erikssen made Ivan Toney look like Ronaldo. Next, I will go for Ricarlison even at $50M call it $15M insurance policy for Kane. (Jesus want to be the man. So i think he will choose Arsenal). Let a proven PL.player prove their worth. We do not have the foundation of winning or a system to bring in players to get bed in. We need them up and running. Richardson fit my bill.
By the wsy not one article about Chelsea and Arsenal being in for Bissouma. What does that tells you about sensationalism of these so called writers to get clicks.

You are probably one of the 1st to say, lets get rid of Ndombele, now you’re dreaming of more of the same.

Pogba is leaving these shores to prove his greatness, again. Let him go!

What ever you’re smoking, get rid of it, before the Police turn up.

Paul Pogba is a very interesting player who is on verge of a move from Man Utd. His class is obvious , he is a playmaker , a World Cup winner , hugely experienced , would be influenced by club skipper Hugo and is still a player yet to take the Prem by storm — magical moments interspersed with indifferent displays , but would defo be a “Marquee” signing = has he played for Conte before ???
Surely a player for serious consideration , at his best just what the doctor ordered ………..??

Some joined up thinking going on at Spurs finally. Statement of intent. Midfield has been the main area of concern since Poch promoted Winks to replace Dembele.

Very good signing once it is completed.

On a separate issue;

How on earth can Spurs be given Chelsea, Man City, West Ham and Arsenal as four of their first five away fixtures by a random selection?

Three of Spurs biggest London derbies, all away from home.

Anti Spurs agenda in full swing. Can’t wait to see who they get to referee these fixtures.

it appears we are overun with mid fielders , would like to see a few gone from the squad to see how its all evolving , quite muddled right now .
Bissouma has undoubted class but he’s not an incisive , creative kinda guy . That “Marquee” signing , Eriksen , B da silva , De Bruyne type of player we definitely need [ anybody out there ?]………..and soon !! C O Y S !!!
