Tottenham Hotspur were held to a 1-1 draw against Everton in the Premier League last night.
Despite leading for the majority of the contest, Tottenham dropped valuable points in the top-four race after an outstanding late equalizer from Everton defender Michael Keane.
Tottenham had the opportunity to put the game to bed and they were dominant since taking the lead early on in the first half.
However, the north London club chose to pass the ball around without any intent or purpose to score more goals.
They were duly punished towards the end of the game and the performances of the players left the likes of Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason furious on the touchline.
A report from Football London claims that the former Tottenham midfielder was seen shouting at the players because they were unable to use the ball properly and failed to make the most of Everton’s vulnerabilities.
The report claims that the 31-year-old Tottenham coach was furious and he reached his boiling point on the touchline. He was even seen shouting at Stellini gesturing as to why the players are performing at such a poor level.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can finish the season strongly and secure Champions League qualification. They have been linked with a number of managers as potential replacements for Antonio Conte and it remains to be seen who comes in through the door in the coming months.
