Report: RB Leipzig defender leading candidate for Spurs to fill the center-back need

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur needs a left-footed central defender, and it will be atop their target list for this coming summer. There have been plenty names linked to the north London club regarding this need in their squad.

The latest to surface is RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol. Mundo Deportivo reports that the Croatian international is ahead of Villarreal’s Pau Torres and Lille OSC’s Sven Botman regarding which player Spurs will go after first.

Gvardiol has made 33 appearances this season, starting 21 of 22 Bundesliga fixtures while averaging 85 minutes per game, and was the starter for both UEFA Europa League fixtures.

On the offensive side, the 20-year-old has scored two goals and recorded three assists on the offensive side of the ball thus far. Meanwhile, he’s averaging 1.6 interceptions and 1.8 clearances per game when it comes to his defending. Furthermore, he’s winning 6.4 total duels for a 57-percent success rate.

When it comes to how much Tottenham might have to pay, Transfermarkt puts his value at £22.5-million.

Still levy at end of day I don’t care what he says as he just lies but if I still had 50 thousand fans turning up each week I would change either but as soon as a massive boycott happens things will change either sell up or invest or they still do what there doing but if massive boycott happened they couldn’t keep doing what they r doing
