Report: Nottingham Forest planning bid to land Tottenham transfer target

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur will be in the wing-back market as manager Antonio Conte hopes to improve both sides on the pitch. Reports suggest that Middlesbrough’s Djed Spence is the top target for the right side wing-back.

However, with Nottingham Forest earning a promotion to the Premier League next season, The Reds want to hold onto Spence, who was on loan and impressed during his stint.

According to Sky Sports, Nottingham Forest is preparing to bid for Spence to keep him away from the clutches of Tottenham, Arsenal, and Brentford. However, despite the strong interest from other clubs, the English media outlet states that they have a strong chance of keeping him with their promotion.

Spence made 50 appearances for Nottingham Forest this past season, where he scored three goals and recorded five assists. Transfermarkt puts the 21-year-old’s value at £7-million, so it will be interesting to see if it will take a sum around that number when it comes to a possible asking price.

Guaranteed 1st team prem league football every week for a season probably the better move for the lad to be fair.

Not that his agent, his bank balance and presumably his ego will agree!
