Tottenham Hotspur is in the market for a midfielder this upcoming transfer window, and the north London-based club eyes Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozović.
However, before Spurs can get too excited in pursuing the 28-year-old, the Serie A club is making one last effort to keep Brozović. According to FCInterNews (via Football Italia), Brozović’s entourage will meet with the Italian side to discuss a deal.
The report details that Inter Milan plans to offer the midfielder an annual salary of €5.5-million, reportedly €1-million short of the Croatia international.
Brozović wants €6.5-million, and there’s no further information regarding the length he and his camp are looking for in a new deal.
Tottenham manager Antonio Conte would like to reunite with his former midfielder in the Premier League since he’s familiar with his tactics. Come January, any club expressing interest in Brozović can sign him to a pre-contract that will kick in next season.
Brozović has made over 200 appearances for Inter Milan, scoring 26 goals and registering 35 assists.
