Report confirms Tottenham sent scouts to watch 22 year old; player ‘dreams’ of a move

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur have renewed their interest in Club Brugge star Andreas Skov Olsen, according to the Express, following their previous interest in the player prior to his move to Bologna in 2019.

Spurs did not sign Olsen when he was 19 years old, but have recently renewed their interest in the Denmark international. The 22-year-old’s current contract with Brugge expires in 2026.

In 12 games across competitions for his new club, he has scored six goals and provided three assists. And Tottenham reportedly sent scouts to watch him play in his team’s 4-0 win against FC Porto.

Talking to Tipsbladet about Spurs’ apparent interest in him (h/t the Express), the player mentioned that his current club know that he won’t stay there forever. Like many other players, the young Dane also ‘dreams’ of playing in the Premier League one day.

“It’s hard to say. Many things can happen. I believe that Club Brugge know that I will not be there forever. (Moving to Belgium) is a step that I needed, and then we’ll have to see what happens in the future.”

“It is, of course, the Premier League. It’s the biggest thing to be able to play there one day, but I haven’t thought that far yet.”

Tipsbladet has now spoken highly of the winger and confirmed that Spurs are taking a ‘close look’ at him.

The Danish publication wrote:

“The national team’s best left foot belongs to Andreas Skov Olsen. His scoring to make it 2-0 is proof of that. From standing, he flattens it into the box, and proves to us all why Tottenham have had a scout to take a closer look at him.

“Was involved in several offensive actions that came close to throwing away several goals. Tottenham have reportedly already taken a closer look at him, and he himself dreams of the Premier League, so it’s easy to understand if the big English clubs are drooling over Andreas Skov Olsen.”

Olsen’s profile is rapidly rising as a result of his recent performances for both club and country. The 22-year-old looks like he could go off in the World Cup in November, which would bring him to the attention of all the big clubs and potentially double his market value.

I doubt Levy has even heard of him,but Paratici is probably under orders to source some cheap punts for the future profit margins.
