Report claims that Kane could miss Premier League opener against Man City

By Bruce Grove -

Harry Kane will reportedly miss Tottenham’s opening Premier League match against Manchester City next month, amidst interest from the champions.

Kane has told Tottenham that he wants to leave the club but they remain adamant that he isn’t for sale.

City is one of the few clubs who can come close to signing him this summer financially, and they need to replace Sergio Aguero who has joined Barcelona.

Interestingly, Tottenham’s first Premier League match is against City which means Kane would face either his former club or his future employers.

However, The Telegraph reports that he would likely not play for either club in the game.

Because of his work with the England national team at Euro 2020, he has been given an extended break.

The new season starts in about three weeks and he is still to return for preseason training.

The report says by the time the campaign gets underway, he would likely still be working on his fitness.

At 27, Kane feels he has to start winning trophies and that would most likely only happen if he leaves Tottenham.

He has 221 goals in 336 games for Spurs, yet he has yet to win any major trophy with them.

So, I read a story Spurs are going to raid Manchester for Martial on anotjer site. However, I thought when you raid a club it is to get players head turn they otherwise wouls not want to loose. News flash Martial is up for sale. So how is that a raid?

Some Union guys are snakes. Some in the states voted for Trump even though he and the GOP are known union busters, but they hate Democrats enough who are fighting for Union rights. Go figure. Football wise, I hope it happens for the sake of the club and kane. My only issue is, Pep is one pompus arse injecting himself as though it is his and City’s sacred rights to have any player they want. He apparently never of to deal with Levy.

Kane is gone …….we will play the new season with Ings and Son. Worst comes to worst Son will play as a lone striker. The fans need to realize something, a deal worth 100-160 mill doesnt happen over a few days ,this deal has been worked out out a long time ago. Levy needs the money, Kane needs the Trophies and bigger pay. What ever the club and Kane does now is for each to come out of this in the fans eyes as they had no choice.

A few years ago I worked in a mine. The trade unions should fight for the employees to get a yearly 15% increase ,the union leader In public should deny everything ,say that nothing less then 15% will be accepted ,but during closed doors he was eating lobster and steak with mine management accepting 5% on the first offer but dragging it out for months just to make the union members happy. This is exactly the same thing. Kane wants out and gets out ,Levy wants the money and gets the money ,the fans want to be competitive and win something ,we get f all .

That’s bol ox……the only reason he would miss this game is if a sale has already been agreed between the clubs.
So many of the England squad played just as much as Kane, are they all missing the first game too??
