Reliable Spurs player ‘feels betrayed’ by the club and wants to leave – contact made with European giants

According to Calciomercato, Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is left ‘very disappointed’ with his current situation at the club.

The report claims that he ‘feels betrayed’ by his beloved club that he ‘loves so much’ and wants to now leave.

Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that the midfielder has changed his agent as he looks for a new challenge in either January or next summer.

The 28-year-old joined Tottenham in 2020 after impressing with his performances for Southampton.

Since his arrival, he has been a consistent and reliable presence in the midfield.

However, he was not able to impress the new Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou and was linked with a move away from the club in the summer.

Atletico Madrid were keen on signing him and even made a bid for him but could not come to an agreement with Tottenham.

According to the report, Atletico Madrid’s plans have not changed with a move for the Danish midfielder ‘planned for January’.

It claims that while the Spanish side ‘remains in pole position’ to sign him, a move to Juventus is also a possibility.

The report goes on to state that Juventus have made ‘contact’ with the player’s new agents with the Italian club ready to hijack a deal from the Spanish side.

However, Calciomercato adds that Tottenham value the player at €40m who aren’t open to a loan deal, which seems to be the only option at the moment for the Serie A side.
