Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie signed a new long-term contract with the club and now the club are preparing to offer Pape Matar Sarr a new deal.
The club officially announces yesterday that the young left-back has signed a new contract which will see him stay at the club until 2030.
The new contract came as a reward for his extraordinary performances for the club since joining the club.
He was signed last year but sent back on loan to Udinese for the rest of the season. He returned to the side this season and has become one of Tottenham’s best players.
Another youngster who has been immense for Tottenham is Pape Matar Sarr.
He is enjoying a breakthrough season under Ange Postecoglou and has become one of the first names on the team sheets.
And there have been reports that he could be next in line to be rewarded with a new deal.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shed some light on the situation surrounding him.
He said (via The Spurs Express)
“Tottenham want to keep going with this contract extensions [after Udogie’s extension].”
“Another player they want to offer a deal is for example Pape Matar Sarr, who is always doing very well in the midfield, very talented midfielder who joined almost two years ago and now is ready to discuss a new contract.”
Tottenham are acting promptly to tie their best players down to long-term contracts which is smart considering Ange Postecoglou is building a team for the future.
