“Pundits still insist he should change his game” This Spurs fan hits the nail on the head perfectly

By Bruce Grove -

Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and the Englishman remains an important part of Spurs and the England national team.

He won the Golden Boot in the just concluded Premier League season and it is the third time that he has won that accolade.

The striker also won the Golden Boot at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and his goals were one reason why England reached the semifinal of the competition.

He has remained the leading man in the current England squad and was on duty as they faced Austria in an international friendly last night.

The striker didn’t score as Bukayo Saka netted the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win.

One reoccurring theme is pundits saying the Englishman has to change his game to get even more results and one Tottenham fan perfectly captures what most of us think when they say that.

He tweeted

One wonders why the pundits just will not accept that Kane is in a different class to everyone else, who knows exactly how he can get the best out of himself and for his team.

Kane has become more than that though. Top assists in the PL last season show he has more to his game than leading the line.

Of course there are more ways to play and a false nine system offers that if you have the playing staff on the park. Sides Kane played in, heis the ultimate threat and so far have needed that 9

Why does your ultimate threat only have to be up front? Teams like Citeh have threats all over the place and that is why they win and win on most occasions. Play to your strengths by all means but if you build a good enough team then that threat should be more than one position.

I think it’s in some games on average Kane hasn’t been the most advance player, I even remember seeing one game and even lamela averaged higher up the pitch in a game. I fully understand movement but your ultimate threat should be at the front on average, shouldn’t they. .

pointless to us now. He’s someone else’s darling after the Euros. The desperate in me is hoping Conte is mad enough to work with Levy and actually does make it till the end of July without quitting, then our best bet is he demands Lukaku.
