Paul Robinson reckons that the Tottenham dressing room will be happy that Kane has finally scored his first Premier League goal of the season.
The former Tottenham number one reckons that every Spurs player would have been worried that Kane had gotten into mid-October without scoring a league goal for the club.
The striker found the back of the net against Newcastle United, but the goal was initially not given because they deemed him to be offside.
However, VAR eventually awarded it and the relief on the faces of the Spurs’ players was obvious, as can be seen from a clip posted by Sky Sports on Twitter.
Robinson says it is great to see a dressing room so in support of their struggling star.
He told Football Insider: “It is great to see the dressing room is so close, so tight. They are obviously all in support of a player who is struggling for form and struggling for goals.
“For Kane to get to mid-October not having scored a Premier League goal… There is no hiding from it, there is not skirting around it, he is bang out of form.
“It was a massive, massive relief when VAR overturned the decision. You could see how much it meant to Kane and the rest of the team.”
Kane has been heavily criticised for his poor form and he should now get some breathing space and would of course look to continue scoring.
Kane has returned to goal-scoring form at the right time and he will now look to help Spurs continue winning their next few matches in domestic and European competitions.
The new hair must be paid for
Hasn’t Paul Robinson got anything better to do?
