PSV legend urges Arsenal, Tottenham to sign £14M midfielder this summer

By Eddie Razo -

The midfield is an area that Tottenham Hotspur hopes to improve this summer, and various targets are surfacing that the north London club could look to add to improve the position.

Although reports aren’t linking to Spurs, PSV legend Aad de Mos believes that PSV’s Ibrahim Sangare is ready to take the next step in his career and challenge himself in a new league.

Furthermore, de Mos urges both north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham to pursue the 24-year-old. The Ivory Coast international is under contract until 2025, but it appears as though he’s in line for a move this summer.

“Ibrahim Sangare is better on one leg than Leicester’s midfield,” De Mos told Voetbal4U. “This season, he is the king of PSV. “Sangare is not only suitable for Leicester, he can also easily join an even higher club. He can easily play at Tottenham and certainly also at Arsenal. He is better than Albert Lokonga.

“Sangare is a great player. I think €35m [£29.4m] is a good price. He would be first on the team sheet for any of those teams, Leicester, Arsenal or Spurs. You need someone like that, who takes the ball and always puts the boot in.”

This past January, Tottenham did add Rodrigo Bentancur and is now waiting for the arrival of Pape Matar Sarr; nonetheless, Spurs will be adding another midfielder, and purs it could be Sangare, who has made 45 appearances this season for PSV.

Sangare has scored four goals and recorded three assists while playing primarily as a defensive midfielder. When it comes to his transfer value, Transfermarkt has it at £14-million.
