A recent report from 90 Min suggests that Yves Bissouma is content at Tottenham Hotspur, despite recent rumors linking him with a move to Chelsea.
Bissouma joined Tottenham in the summer, moving from Brighton for an initial fee of £25 million.
The midfielder had previously been one of the top performers for the Seagulls, and was considered a bargain signing for Tottenham.
However, things haven’t quite gone according to plan for him since joining Spurs.
He has made 26 appearances for Antonio Conte’s side so far this season, but has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular.
Conte had previously stated that Bissouma was ‘struggling’ to adapt to his system and style of play, but the midfielder has shown improvements and has started to resemble the player he was at Brighton.
And in what was a surprising development last week, t was reported that Tottenham’s London rivals Chelsea had made an offer for the midfielder.
The deal reportedly included Hakim Zyech in an exchange offer, but Spurs are said to have rejected the advances.
The report further adds that even if Spurs were willing to accept the offer, the player himself would not have agreed to move since he has no intentions of leaving the club.
Bissouma is thought to be ‘happy at the club’ and is not open to moving on, especially so soon after joining them.
According to the report, Bissouma has “a lot to offer in the future” and Spurs have “absolutely no interest” in considering an approach for him.
The club’s management believes that Bissouma still has a lot of potential and they are not willing to let him go just yet.
It is common for players to struggle to adapt to a new team and new system in the beginning, but with time, they can find their footing and reach their potential.
But It seems that Bissouma is on that path with Tottenham, and the club and the player are both invested in his future with the team.
