Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson.
The 24-year-old has done quite well for the Turkish outfit and it is no surprise that his performances have caught the attention of the Premier League clubs.
According to reports from Aksam, Nottingham Forest are now keen on signing the 24-year-old and it remains to be seen whether they can secure his services.
Tottenham need to bring in defensive reinforcement and missing out on Nelsson will be a blow for them.
The Denmark international defender is likely to cost around €25 million this summer and Tottenham can certainly afford that. He could prove to be a quality addition for a reasonable price.
Spurs have already strengthened their defence with the addition of Micky van de Ven and Ashley Phillips. They have been linked with a move for Clement Lenglet from Barcelona as well.
If Spurs can get all three players signed in the summer, it might be enough to see them through the season.
Nelsson will be hoping to showcase his qualities at the highest level and the opportunity to move to the Premier League could be tempting.
Tottenham are certainly a much bigger club than Nottingham Forest and Nelsson will have more chances of winning a trophy with them. If Spurs come forward with a concrete proposal, Nottingham Forest could struggle to agree on a deal to sign the player.
