Premier League club opens talks with Levy regarding midfielder

According to Daily Mail, Everton have opened talks with Tottenham to renegotiate Dele Alli’s deal.

Dele Alli joined Everton last January in a ‘complex transfer’ that included several performance related clauses which would have seen the deal rise to £30m.

However, Everton are in a dire financial crisis. They have breached FFP rules and have a 12 point deduction penalty looming over them.

Dele Alli has not featured for Everton since August last year as he continues to struggle with injuries.

And although he is on the course to recovery, Sean Dyche revealed that he is still far away from being fully fit.

He said (via Daily Mail) :

‘I must make it clear he is on the grass but still a long way from being fit,’ Dyche added. ‘He is not training with us he is with the sports science staff.

‌’He is just really getting back to where he was He was drastically unfortunate when the rehab (went) wrong after an operation, and it is almost more time than the original moment.

‌’But the specialists advised to leave it alone and just let it heal naturally. He is in a good place, but he is still quite far away (from playing).’

Everton will have to pay Spurs am addition £10m if he Alli makes 7 more appearances for them.

Dyche revealed that the club is in talks with Spurs to renegotiate deal with them and restructure the terms.

Dele joined Spurs from MK Dons for £5 million in 2015, and went on to make 269 appearances for the Lilywhites in all competitions, scoring 67 goals and assisting 61.

The midfielder was a key member of Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham team and was at his best under the Argentine.
