Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.
It has been a disappointing Premier League campaign for the North London club, and there have been rumours that the Australian could be shown the door soon. However, he managed to help his side win the UEFA Europa League last week, and that has certainly changed things to some extent. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to offer him another chance to turn things around.
When asked about his long-term future at the club, the Australian manager has revealed that it is really weird for him to talk about his future, and he might not be the right person to comment on the situation.
His response certainly comes across as a subtle message directed towards the club chairman, Daniel Levy. He will need to make a decision on the Australian’s future soon.
Postecoglou added that he has achieved something unprecedented, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to stick with him.
Ange Postecoglou on his future
He said to Football London: “I’ll be honest, I’ve been finding it really weird talking about my future when we’ve done something unprecedented.
“I’ve got to answer the questions because nobody else is in a position to do so. Part of me is thinking ‘why am I even being asked the question?’ I’ve got no doubt though that this could be a really defining moment for this club.
“Wherever I’ve been I’ve made an impact for a club after they haven’t tasted it for a while and they push on, even after I’ve gone.”
Can Postecoglou turn it around?

There is no doubt that they have a talented squad, and they have underperformed in the Premier League this season.
The cup win will certainly lift the morale around the club, and the Australian manager might feel that he can build on it and help his side get back on track next season. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
