Mauricio Pochettino has had a hard time letting go of the Tottenham job, and equally some fans have had a hard time letting go of him.
There is little harm in looking back fondly at your ex…for a while. I indulged myself in the Argentine’s sentimental round trip through the media, reminiscing about the good times that he helped bring to Spurs. I actually respected his revelation that he was still in touch with Daniel Levy, when many others would have held a grudge. I even entertained his notion that one day he’d like to return to the club to finish off the job he started.
But this…this is one step too far. The man has got a personalised BBQ, etched with the lyrics from the song we once adoringly sang about him.

He has passed into cringeworthy ex territory now. The club needs to change its name and move, before he goes all Fatal Attraction on Harry Kane.
