Piers Morgan takes a shot at Tottenham to criticize the play of Arsenal

By Eddie Razo -

The latest installment of the north London derby occurs in a few days; however, media personality and Arsenal supporters Piers Morgan fired the first shots at Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend.

During Arsenal’s FA Cup match against Nottingham Forest, which they ended up losing 1-0, Morgan took to Twitter and decided to criticize The Gunner’s play by comparing them to their north London rival.

“Can someone please tell Arsenal’s players that playing in white shirts doesn’t mean we have to play as badly as Spurs?” Morgan tweeted.

Despite their struggles against Morecambe, the 3-1 result is a little misleading, considering the three goals came in the late stages of the match. Nonetheless, Tottenham advanced despite the criticism for their performance.

There will be plenty of banter between the two rivals considering both clubs are fighting for a top-four spot. Arsenal holds the fourth spot with 35 points, and Tottenham has 33 points with two games in hand.

If Spurs can get those six points, it will be more than enough to leap over Arsenal in the standings. Should Tottenham defeat The Gunners on the 16th, there’s no denying some will bring back this tweet for banter.

We would need a decent summer transfer window.. But with the promise of Champions league plus Contes pulling power, we would be able to attract better players.

So badly Piers, that Spurs have finished above Arsenal in the league for several years. Yes, we haven’t played well over the last few seasons but that just shows how badly Arsenal must have been playing.

There’s this strange arrogance within Woolwich’s support that the club embodies some kind of football purism, which has probably come out of the early Wenger era. Arsenal were never purists, it’s only posh tw*ts like Morgan that didn’t even follow football pre 1994 that think there’s an ‘Arsenal way’. Laughable really…

You going to need your nose to still look pretty. I hope you are your own boss cause the one you have not could take a little less profit and pay you lilly bit more.

We need a trophy, I’d take that over top 4 any day. We’re nowhere near good enough for the CL, heck we can’t even progress in the Conference league!! Top 4 is only about enic making loads of money which they don’t reinvest in the squad anyway. If it makes Levy happy then I don’t want it.

Can you imagine this lot in next years CL? Would be embarrassing. We can barely scrape together 11 decent players to play once a week can we?

It’s a huge game. It’s a 6 pointer in the race for top 4.. If we can get a win then we also have the 6 points in hand. Win those and that’s 12 points leaving us in good stead.
