Manchester City is interested in a move for Harry Kane and ESPN has now revealed how the Citizens plan to use the Tottenham striker.
This is an important summer for Kane after he asked to leave Tottenham.
The Lilywhites are keen to keep hold of their top striker, but Kane might force his way out of the club.
Because money is tight around Europe, only a few teams can sign the striker.
City is one of them and the report says Pep Guardiola considers him the perfect replacement for Sergio Aguero.
It claims that the Spanish manager wants to sign Kane and Jack Grealish and make them members of a front three with Phil Foden.
Foden has emerged as one of the key players at the home of the champions after staring for them last season.
Kane, Foden and Grealish would be the leading stars as England try to make an impact in the Euros this month.
Guardiola wants to dominate the English game for the next five years and the report says he is confident that he will achieve that if he can sign these players and combine them.
City knows that they will have to pay top-dollar to get Kane and Grealish and it would be interesting to see if they can close both deals.
Pep. If you’re listening. Come to London mate. I’ll put you up till you find a place🌚
Respect/fear trumps love. Ask sir Alex🌚
Very true. Priorities, RDBT, are very clear. We won’t see Spurs contending for a long time. More interested in the NFL.
It’s alright, Tappa, we all love you really!
He wasn’t so risk averse when it came to the stadium and the subsequent mountain of debt, was he?
There are people who do not possess the emotional personality and character to understand others , Levy is an individual lacking in these qualities and probably finds it difficult to relate in ways that most people do naturally.
I can’t imagine why Villa didn’t accept Levy’s offer of £3,500,000 and Onomah for Grealish! When you think that we were interested in Sancho before he went to Dortmund and I think we also made a derisory offer for Bellingham, it beggars belief how much money Levy has cost the football club not Enic in the transfer market. If you throw in the amount of redundancy money the club has had to pay out to managers, coaching and scouting staff, there’s been a lot of money wasted by a risk averse tight arse.
Bruva. You mentioned I had 6 minus’s” so. I’m not insecure man. Me no feel no way.
That rumour will be all over the place by this evening.
There’s been some talk of suspending it due to Covid hitting club finances.
I can remember not so long ago we were going to have the most devastating front 3 in the PL with Kane, Son and Bale. Pity the back 4 let in so many goals it negated their effect.
Yes, quite, though I often ignore them, James!
Actually, I had misread fool as tool! He is that as well!
I like the second sentence in your first paragraph above – has made me chuckle!
Whatever happened to FFP? This doesn’t seem to be a thing anymore.
I think some bloggers (not this one 😉 ) say that Levy is putting out feelers and Pep is seriously considering jumping ship
I try. I don’t even look at other sites they just pop up with a headline, it’s ridiculous the nonsense that’s spouted continually.
Ah but they got you to click Richard or they at least got your attention which means money for them.
How olds pep? He’ll be at Tottenham one day
I think temperamentally Levy is not cut out to be a football supremo. Bricks and mortar he understands, and being London based he’d need to be a right fool to lose money in property.
But footballers aren’t plots of land. They’re very risky investments and Levy is highly risk averse.
This is where as an owner being ‘brave’ comes into it. It’s what poch was referring to in the summer prior to his departure.
Being brave refers to trusting your manager to make the decisions that will bring you success. It’s a calculated gamble but it’s based on believing in the man you appointed. The man you appointed to bring success to the football team.
If Levy could only choose to believe in his manager, the potential money he could make from a team winning trophies, finishing high in the league, the new fans, the merchandise etc etc, would surpass the money he spent to get there.
Just ignore it, or it will do your head in. Stay clear of Newsnow Tottenham as well.
Makes sense.
Agree be very sceptical of links to Italian based players. Because of the generous Italian tax system for football most players would have to take a wage cut to move to the UK. That’s the real reason I think Dybala never came originally.
The Dybala image rights spiel was a smokescreen as The Boy pointed out.
Image rights, I bet not one in a hundred fans could pick Dybala out of a line up.
Fair play to Pep… and the owners that back him. He gives the team and the fans… what they want.
It’s only June too….got 2 plus months of this crap.
I’ve just about had enough after 47 odd years. The thought of levy getting his way if zizzi goes to psg is enough to give up. Another 5 Yr plan with him and poch I can’t take. Good luck to city I hope they get greelish and kane. They are many things I don’t like reference the owners but at least the owners pay up.
Hahahaha! We’re back on the Dybala Bolox now according to the more ENICy Spurs vlogs…. brilliant, oh the geezers Italian so it must be on….?!
Can’t take this anymore. It’s like a funny farm, somebody get the chemical cosh out??
Indeed, it won’t and then when they finally do depart to cheers all round (except from the brain dead), and quite possibly not in my lifetime anyway, with our luck we’ll probably get Tony the disappearing act from China in their place!
While I’m on other websites – unrelated to Spurs – I keep getting these news flashes re players that we are interested in or managers we are about to appoint; the one consistently recurring aspect of is that we don’t (usually) sign or appoint any of them!
It is so depressing supporting this club under these parasitical owners. Nothing will change until we have new owners.
