Paul O Keefe claims £100k-per-week man is in ‘advanced talks’ with club ahead of a January move

Hugo Lloris is expected to leave the club in the January transfer window and Paul O Keefe has shared an update regarding his future.

The Spurs legend’s contract expires in the summer and Daniel Levy is keen to cash in on him in the upcoming window.

During the summer, Lloris openly expressed his desire to part ways with Tottenham, attracting interest from several clubs, including Al-Hilal, Nice, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Lazio. Despite this interest, negotiations failed, leaving Lloris sidelined, yet to make an appearance this season.

He is now being linked with a move again with strong links with Newcastle who are looking for a replacement for Nick Pope who is out injured.

He has also been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

But Paul O Keefe has shared a surprising update claiming that he is now in ‘advanced talks’ with MLS side Las Angeles FC ahead of a January move.

He shared the update on X:

“Hugo Lloris is in advanced talks with Los Angeles FC with a view to moving in January”

Levy will be happy to get the £100,000 per week man off his wage list.

Lloris has been a great servant for Tottenham, spending 11 years in London, making 444 appearances and keeping 151 clean sheets.

And despite a dip in form over the past couple of seasons, Hugo Lloris is regarded as a club legend by the Tottenham faithful.
