Paul Merson has predicted that Tottenham will lose to Wolves this weekend.
Tottenham suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Chelsea on Monday night.
Pochettino returned to his old club and won 4-1 against a 9 men Tottenham, ending their unbeaten streak.
And Merson who had rightly predicted that Spurs would lose to Chelsea hit back at his critics for mocking his prediction.
He has now predicted that Wolves are goinh to hand Spurs their second defeat of the season.
He told Sportskeeda: ‘I’ll be shocked if Tottenham, with their injuries and suspensions, beat Wolves on Saturday. I was looking at Spurs’ situation and they have some bad injuries.
‘Micky van de Ven is out and they’ve got Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie who are set to miss a couple of weeks due to suspension. James Maddison is going to be out too and Richarlison is set to undergo surgery.
‘Ange Postecoglou will be fielding a makeshift backline and they are not going to be the same side that got off to a flying start to the season due to their injuries.’
It will be a real test for Ange to navigate Spurs through this challenge. He will be without two of his best players in James Maddison and Micky van de Ven.
He will also be without 3 of the back four with Destiny Udogie and Cristian Romero suspended.
If he can successfully guide Spurs through this difficult period, that would be huge for Spurs.
