Paratici fails in pursuit of striker who is set to stay with his current club

By Bruce Grove -

Fabio Paratici has failed in his bid to sign Fiorentina striker, Dusan Vlahovic for Tottenham.

The Lilywhites have been linked with a move for him for much of this transfer window after he shone for his current club last season.

Paratici had been targeting him for Juventus when he worked for the Italian giants last season.

After moving to Tottenham, he still had the striker on his radar and was hoping to bring him to London.

Several top European clubs also wanted to sign him, including Atletico Madrid and Juventus.

The striker had scored 21 goals in Serie A last season and it was an impressive haul for a 21-year-old who has a lot more development to do.

It remains unclear if Spurs ever tabled an official bid for him, but the striker confirmed recently that he had several big money offers to leave the Florence club.

However, he has no intention of doing that and he has decided to stay with them beyond this transfer window.

He told Sky Sport via Sun Sports: “I’ve received top proposals this summer, really big also for the club.

“But I was never pushing to leave. I wanted to stay at Fiorentina … and I’m staying, yes.”

Is suppose Romero will be considered our marquee signing but we all know that was an essential purchase.

Have we acted in a way over this window to promote our ambitions and drive our ability to achieve trophies? An emphatic no

Paratici never pursued Dusan Vlahovic when my fellow fans will get to know the man who was in charge the club last +20 years it was all spin and propaganda as usual and the best part of it the master gets away with it as usual again and again that is the painful and sad part of it.
