One Man City player rejects joining Spurs as a part of Kane transfer

By Bruce Grove -

ESPN claims that Raheem Sterling has no plans to be a part of Manchester City’s offer for England captain, Harry Kane.

Kane has asked Tottenham to sell him this summer as they continue to struggle to win trophies.

Considering that clubs around Europe are struggling with their finances because of the coronavirus pandemic, not many teams can afford him.

Manchester City has the money and the need for a new striker after Sergio Aguero left them for free.

They are reportedly preparing to offer £100m for his signature, however, that wouldn’t be enough.

Because of this, they have plans to add some of their players as a part of the transfer, one of which is Sterling.

However, the report says the England attacker has no plans to become a part of a deal taking Kane to the Etihad.

Sterling has two more seasons left on his current deal which he signed in 2018. While there have been no talks of a contract extension, the report insisted that Sterling will leave City on his terms, not as a part of any transfer agreement.

Spurs remain keen on keeping Kane for another season and if City refuse to pay the asking price that will probably be possible.

The most serious fact at the moment is the inability of Levy to get a manager at Spurs. Nobody dithers about on purpose for so long with regard to such an important piece of business. This rumour about Kane and the makeweights is pure diversion from the core problem. How can you sack a manager and have absolutely no idea who to replace him with? The longer this goes on the worse it looks because without the manager in place not much else can happen.

Even if this were something being considered I’d be more than happy that Sterling wouldn’t be part of the deal. Overhyped and overpaid.

I don’t believe Sterling to Tottenham to be a serious proposition, just waffle.
