Tottenham Hotspur striker Alejo Veliz has been linked with a move away from the club during the summer transfer window.

His former club, Rosario Central, are hoping to sign him on a loan deal this summer, and they have submitted a ‘formal offer’. However, Tottenham want to continue in Europe. The player is open to the idea of returning to his former club, and he believes it would be good for his development, as per Cesar Luis Merlo

The player joined Tottenham in the summer of 2023 from Rosario Central.

Veliz needs to play regularly to continue his development. Sitting on the bench at Tottenham is unlikely to benefit him. He was on loan at Spanish club Espanyol last season, and he scored four goals in all competitions.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to send him on loan to a European club this summer. Veliz is a talented player with a bright future, and Spurs must prioritise his development. He needs to play regularly at this stage of his career.

If a suitable move to a European club does not materialise, it would be wise of the club to send him out on loan to Rosario Central. He knows the club well, and he will be able to settle in quickly and make an instant impact. Regular football in his comfort zone could bring out the best in him.

It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds. He is a talented player with a bright future, and Spurs will hope that he can establish himself as a useful squad option for the future. They could certainly use more quality and depth in the attacking unit.
