The French midfielder was substituted 26 minutes into this afternoon’s game at St Mary’s Stadium with what appeared to be another injury blow.

But this video offers a different explanation as to why the 23-year-old might have had to leave the pitch. Did Ndombele over-stimulate himself?

I think he’s probably regretting it now. Possibly slight arrogance that he could bring them back up to former levels reached under Poch.
Firstly his coaching style is very different, secondly he’s ignored the decline and the lack of investment in the team since Poch had them at that level.
He might have the good fortune of Levy getting panicked about top 4 and finally spending some money to rebuild the side. That’s the only chance he has.
Personally I think Jose has talked Levy into it by selling himself well along with his winning record. It’s almost as if Levy chose to ignore all of what happened at Utd.
