“Not completely ready to play at that intensity” Spurs man rushed back claims Wenger

By Bruce Grove -

Arsene Wenger appears to have suggested that Tottenham rushed Harry Kane’s return to the team after saying the striker isn’t at the required level of intensity yet.

Kane returned from the injury he suffered against Liverpool and scored a goal against West Brom.

However, he looked out of sorts in the match against Manchester City at the weekend.

The attacker couldn’t do anything as Jose Mourinho’s men were beaten 3-0 by City to push them further away from the top four.

Wenger watched the game and said that Hugo Lloris and Kane aren’t back to their best.

On the striker, he said he doesn’t look ready to play at the level of intensity needed for Premier League games.

He talked about a time that Kane took a soft blow to his ankle, but he fell down and looked in pain, he then suggested that the striker might still be struggling with his ankle injury.

He said on beIN Sports as quoted by Sun Sports: “What we have learned from Tottenham, like I said before the game, Lloris doesn’t look to be at his best.

“Nor is Harry Kane. He looks physically, fitness-wise, not completely ready to play at that intensity.

“To me he looks still a bit injured on his ankle when he got hurt one time, he went down quickly and it was not a big hit.

“So with that handicap, Tottenham will have a difficult game.”

I would do similar but still give Doherty some runs.. Sanchez and Davies are definitely last choice for me with Dier third from last. He can head the ball well though, and Maureen loves him… Toby has to be first choice for big games like city.

This is my back line of 4 permanent and Mourinho should stick to it and not change every game, Toby and Rodo, Tanganga and Reguilon, if Reguilon is injured bring Aurier that is it no more Dier Davies Sanchez and Doherty the rest of the season Mourinho has to stick with those 4 players what ever happens Toby will be the experienced and the youngsters will learn from him and they are quick and fit.

Only Spurs will know the truth, but I’d like to think the long term welfare of Harry Kane or any player is more important than trying to win a game of football.
