Spurs turn up the heat on €50M+ rated summer transfer target

Tottenham Hotspur wants to reportedly improve their attack by adding some scoring depth behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. Several names are popping up in the rumour mill, with the summer transfer window now open. One name is AS Roma’s Nicolò Zaniolo, and Sky Sports Italia reports that the sporting director for the Serie A side, Tiago Pinto, recently met with Zaniolo’s agent to discuss a possible contract extension for the player whose deal expires in 2024.

Furthermore, the Italian media outlet states that Pinto met with Tottenham club chief Fabio Paratici to talk about the 23-year-old. Still, no offer or actual negotiations occurred between the two executives. Calciomercato estimate that the player is worth €50 million.

However, Spurs are interested in Zaniolo and will monitor how the contract extension talks between the two sides evolve. As a result, if Roma can’t sign their star right-winger to a new deal, the north London club will likely look to swoop in and land the Italy international.

Zaniolo has had TWO major season ending knee injuries in 3 years. In spite of his undoubted talent I would not touch him with a barge pole. The Italian Jack Wheelchair!

My point being is that there are other countries with which you can purchase players , but it feels to me that Paratici et al have their entire focus on Italy Serie A players and we get associated with all of ’em .
Its a wide world with terrific players everywhere , you just gotta source them .

Paratici has actually gone to Italy to meet with the club and discuss a potential transfer so I think you’re barking up the wrong tree here

It seems to me that every player in Serie A is available and that Spurs are ‘interested ‘ in all of ’em . When will this nonsense stop ?
Is it just because it is the origin of birth of our beloved boss , there are so many talented players around the world – why are we so blinkered ?

Get Moura and Bergwjin out and add this lad sounds quite straightforward. Nothing is ever straightforward with Levy though. Secondly, is this boy cut out for the Premiership?
