Tottenham announced on Tuesday that 18-year-old academy prospect Harvey White had signed a long-term contract with the club.
And before you ask – no, he can’t play as a striker.
The Maidstone-born teenager has been given a deal until 2023 as a reward for a breakout year through the club’s youth setup, which included scoring a penalty for the U18 side in a test event at the new stadium last March.

That was one of six goals in 15 appearances in the u18 Premier League last season, showing that he has an eye for goal from midfield. But it has been as a left-back where he has arguably impressed the most, and it was there where he made his senior debut on the pre-season tour of Asia in July.
These Spurs fans on Twitter can see a route into the first team for White at left-back, although Dennis Cirkin and Ryan Sessegnon may have something to say about that, and are thrilled that we’ve tied the young talent down for the foreseeable future.

Absolutely delighted with this. Top top prospect who can play in multiple positions and this first professional contract is very well deserved after excelling for both the 18s and 23s whenever called upon.

Agreed unless he is going to start for the top side then we need to just let him grow in his abilities and see what happens.
Like Marcus Edwards was the new Messi. It’s far too early for statements like that.
