Poch got us punching well above our weight. I was always impressed with how without a home ground for two seasons, 7th highest wage bill and 15th net spend we played so well and got to where we did.
The further lack of investment on the team really began to take its toll a season and a half ago. Since then it’s been a gradual decline.
With Poch gone and the intense training and team ethics also gone, it’s hard to imagine where we go on this cheapskate budget.

I think Levy hasn’t realised that the magical way that Poch developed inexpensive young players eg Dele, Kane Dier and other players whose careers were just rolling along, Mousa, Toby, Walker Rose Trippier into a successful team relative to the past 20 years was not a sustainable football model. Levy didn’t realise other teams were spending to get the best they could afford and the 10 mill bargains were all 20+ mill and needed time.
We are now exactly where Levynomics has put us and no manager can fix it. The only way out for Levy is a sale of the business based on physical assets because there will be no CL for the forseeable.
