New report claims Tottenham are ready to sell player in January despite him being happy at the club

According to French outlet RMC Sport, Tottenham long-serving servant Hugo Lloris could depart in the January transfer window.

The report claims that the North London club are ‘considering’ selling him in the upcoming transfer window.

The Frenchman’s contract is set to expire in the summer which will allow him to leave on free keeping his options open.

The report claims that Lloris is happy training with the club right now but Spurs intend to cut short his stay and sell him.

Lloris publicly started his desire to leave early in the summer transfer window and the club are said to be keen on moving him as well.

A number of clubs expressed interest in signing him over the summer including Al-Hilal, Nice, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Lazio but failed to reach an agreement.

Lloris has not played a single minute this season. New signing Guglielmo Vicario has come in and been absolutely brilliant between the sticks. Fraser Forster has become the second choice keeper.

Postecoglou earlier in the season confirmed that Hugo Lloris would not be included in the final squad registered for the upcoming season.

Despite a dip in form over the past couple of seasons, Hugo Lloris is regarded as a club legend by Tottenham fans for his remarkable 11-year tenure with the club.

He has still been brilliant behind the scenes as revealed by Vicario himself. According to the Italian goalkeeper, Lloris has been helping him settle at the club and been a constant support for him.
