As per the Evening Standard, the player had to withdraw from the national team as he continues to struggle with a muscle injury he picked up against Fulham last month.
His absence from the national team suggests the injury could be serious and leaves him as a possible doubt for Tottenham’s next game against Aston Villa.
He becomes the latest to be added to Tottenham’s growing list of injuries.
Ivan Perisic, Manor Solomon, Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Ryan Sessegnon and Richarlison are all currently out injured.
Udogie injury means Spurs will be forced to field a make-shift defense for the second game in a row.
Ben Davies and Dier are expected to play in the middle with Royal replacing Udogie and Porro keeping his place at right back.
Aston Villa are a tough team to beat under Unai Emery and Ange Postecoglou will need his depleted team to be at their best if they want to avoid their third consecutive defeat.
