Might Nuno Espírito Santo Have Been Hired As He Has Magical Fairy Dust In His Pockets?| video

By The Boy -

My considered opinion is that Nuno Espírito Santo could be in for one heck of a season. Of course, the transfer window’s closure is still yet weeks away, however, there appear to be very few signs or suggestions that Tottenham Hotspur is close to refreshing or ‘churning’ their squad. This is a squad that, in the main, failed both Mauricio Pochettino and José Mourinho (although the latter was denied the opportunity to play a final by some 6 days by Daniel Levy’s wrath).

Can Nuno get a tune from players that other managers have found so problematic? We won’t have to wait long, in order to get that answer.

Patience is an essential attribute when one chooses to be a Tottenham fan.

It’s unbelievable that any supporters condone Levy calling the shots on anything that’s football related.

Levy thinks that Poch had a tune out of them (three years ago) and that none of them are past their prime in terms of age. Therefore why couldn’t the right coach get them back to that level?

He understands nothing about the mindset, motivation and psychology of football, or when some players just need to move on. It’s unbelievable that this property developer who doesn’t know the first thing about football is calling these shots…

I don’t think Nuno is a bad coach, he may even be good, but why would anyone think the same players who quit on Poch and tuned out Jose will ever win anything? It just makes no sense.

Agree and this is part of the problem within, some players need moving on based purely on their mindset.

Dier does a lot of posturing, pointing and calling people out and i think people at the club mistake this for somebody who is fighting for the cause rather somebody deflecting from their own shortcomings. Diers place at the club seems cast iron. Very strange.

Your comment is about 5 years out of date. Most Spurs fans with half a brain have woken up to the reality. It really is that bad.

If there are any positives to take from yesterdays match its that Ali, Dier, Winks confirmed to NES that they are dross and need moving on. Our coaches time would be better spent on developing Harvy White and Dane Scarlett in the 1st team squad than wasting any more resources on those 3.

Only a pre-season kick-about, HH, with most of the first team off on their hollipops. Don’t get dejected. Until they get back. Then you can get dejected, but you never know. I heard a fella say once, “it’s a fanny awld gayme.”

Until the Kane situation is resolved then everything is pure speculation, that is top of a full agenda of matters that have to be sorted out, the future of Kane and the club is at stake so they need to get on with it.

Getting a lot of success in ‘friendlies’ usually means a shock when the ‘big boy’ matches begin. At least we won’t get that shock.
