Might a new manager have just been given the nod, live on TV?

Sky Sports’ Jamie Carragher felt it would be better if Tottenham parted ways with Tudor and looked to bring in another manager in between now and the end of the season.

He suggested the international break would be an ideal time for a change, as Tudor’s appointment aimed for an immediate impact that hasn’t materialised, with confusion in systems and no spark delivered to the players.
Other pundits and former Spurs players like Jamie O’Hara echoed strong criticism, calling it potentially the “worst appointment in history”, but Carragher’s comments focused on the pragmatic need for a parting of ways to aid survival hopes with seven games remaining. This reflects Tottenham’s ongoing crisis in 2026, where they’ve struggled badly and face a real relegation threat for the first time in decades.

“They have to do that now. It just hasn’t worked, the manager’s tried different things as well; different systems, different styles of play.

I think someone with an affiliation to the club in terms of trying to get the supporters involved. You’ve gotta think, ‘How can we keep this group of players and this club in the Premier League right now? Okay, we need togetherness.’

This was certainly the message ahead of the game, but that togetherness fizzled out very quickly, once the game had started. After the game, Igor discovered that he had suffered a bereavement in his family and was unable to take the press conference.

To most fans, this suggests a coach who can leverage their affiliation with the club. The obvious candidates would be Harry Redknapp and Tim Sherwood.

With games rapidly running out, and options few and far between, one thing is for certain: ENIC cannot allow this situation to carry on unchecked.

Being unable to beat Nottingham Forest was a deafening alarm bell; being beaten 0-3 by them at home cannot be overlooked.
