Pochettino has previously come close to winning a European trophy with Tottenham when he guided them to the final of the UEFA Champions League, only to be defeated by Liverpool.

Tottenham fans will be delighted with the way their season has turned out in the end. Tottenham have secured Champions League qualification for the next season, and that could prove to be vital when it comes to holding on to their best players and signing quality players in the summer. It will be interesting to see how the future of Ange Postecoglou unfolds over the next few weeks. The Australian was heavily linked with the move away from the club in recent months after a disastrous Premier League campaign. However, he has helped him win a major trophy after 17 years, and it remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy is willing to let him stay on beyond this season.
