AS Roma have entered the race to sign Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham.
The left-back is currently on loan at Manchester United but he has January break clause in his contract which allows Tottenham to bring him back to the club in the upcoming window or send him out somewhere else.
He is not getting a lot of regular playing time since Luke Shaw’s return from injury which has triggered speculations regarding his future at United.
Borussia Dortmund have shown strong interest in signing him in the January window and remains a possible destination for the Spanish defender.
And now, reports have emerged that Jose Mourinho is interested in signing the Tottenham player.
That’s according to a report from Italian outlet Il Romanista, which claims that Jose Mourinho has ‘given his approval’ to the club to go ahead and sign Reguilon to replace Leonardo Spinazzola, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
TBH Says:
Tottenham will be delighted to see the keen interest from Roma and Dortmund for Sergio Reguilon, who is excess to their requirements at the N17.
Levy will be hoping he can offload the 27-year-old on a permanent deal or a loan deal with an obligation to buy but it remains to be seen whether any move materialises.
