LOSC Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier has now expressed a desire to play in the Premier League in future.

The 23-year-old has revealed in an interview via Footmercato that he would be interested in playing in England one day. The player went on to name-drop Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, especially with the way the two teams have struggled this season.

Lucas Chevalier reveals Premier League dream

He said: “The Premier League? It’s a league that makes you dream, the most attractive.

“When you see Tottenham, Manchester United struggling with crazy players, you can see the level a bit. I have a two-year contract, and you know the president [laughs]. I haven’t had any specific offers from this country, but it makes you think.”

The Ligue 1 star was probably trying to highlight the competitiveness in the Premier League, and it will be interesting to see if any club is willing to sign him in the summer.

The report claims that Manchester United are interested in him. Andre Onana has been very poor this season, and it would not be a surprise if Manchester United wanted to replace him in the summer.

Tottenham do not need a keeper

Meanwhile, Tottenham already have Guglielmo Vicario and Antonin Kinsky at their disposal. It would be quite surprising if they decided to invest in another goalkeeper. Vicario has had his fair share of criticism, especially because of his inability to deal with aerial balls. However, it is unlikely that Tottenham will replace him in the summer. They need to improve the other areas of their team, and signing a goalkeeper will not be a priority for them.

It has been a poor season for Tottenham, and they will look to bounce back strongly next year. Signing quality players in the summer would be a wise decision.
