It will be interesting to see if the Italian can overcome his issues and improve in the coming weeks. Opposition players are clearly targeting him, and Spurs will have to find a solution.
Carragher said (h/t Daily Mail): “They actually feel this is a huge weakness for Tottenham. The goalkeeper’s not great. He’s not great on the first one, he’s not great on this one either. He’s never great with the ball coming into the box. It’s definitely something they’ve identified that this is a weakness for Tottenham Hotspur.”
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to invest in another goalkeeper at the end of the season. They will need to plug multiple gaps in their squad during the summer transfer window. Although they have several quality players, they need to get rid of their weaknesses if they want to fight for trophies next year.
