Liverpool Fans Hijack Spurs Official Twitter Poll

By The Boy -

What larks.

THFC have run and end of the decade poll, in order for fans to vote for their favourite team of the last ten years.

It was all going swimmingly until some mischievous Scousers got wind of it and decided that seeing Peter Crouch pip Harry Kane to the best striker category would be funny.

An alert from Twitter

As can be seen, the Liverpool fans really did get themselves mobilized and 2 Metre Peter’s lead looks difficult to reign in.

How they stand

A perhaps embarrassed Crouchy did the noble thing and acknowledged the hijack with a Tweet suggesting that Harry is the player who really ought to win this.

Peter Crouch’s blushes

Another interesting blip in the poll which has drawn less attention is that of votes for Ledley King. Whilst the big man will be forever thought of fondly, his career ended just two years into the decade, and so only contributed 27 appearances.

Whatever the outcome, can this poll possibly top Spurs fans failing to win the “Colour The Wembley Arch” competition?

We’ve got the same timeline Marbella. We’ve always played good football and had just enough stars to keep the faith in the barren years. I just wonder if Levy would sack a top level manager if they had failed so spectacularly with 10 very poor decisions in 20 years? Or should that be 9 poor and 1 inspired?

Pep will manage Tottenham before 2026. Poch will by 2030.

When I call people “fake fans” I know that’s not true really. They are just hurting and not handling the pain well. Tottenham team coming to sooth with iodine 😁

F the past. I’m 55 tomorrow and I don’t look back. For the past 20 years i couldn’t see us winning anything major. I can in the next 20. I’m going that way so it’s alright. Gonna be a good decade for us man. 😊

Let’s look at Levy’s track record. He’s been in charge for twenty years in which time we have won one trophy and he has sacked ten managers. We have a brand new stadium which has left us over £650 mill in debt and THFC do not own their own ground. It is not that I do not want success for the team as I have been a supporter since 1962 and have seen some great players during which time we did win trophies, but under the Enic management, I cannot see it happening.

Morning man. Any idea how much we got back from that £600 million? £600 million plus we built a wicked place to watch football and be entertained (on my plot) not bad. Anyone who thinks we won’t make up for it in the next decade wants this to be true. Some morons not gonna enjoy it when we do coz levy is in charge and will look bloody stupid. Anyway “wheeeere were they when we were $h!£

Must admit, this poll made me really think of last 10yrs, where we were and how we come on. I have realised that in terms of expectations and league position, league respect and other non tangibles we are massively improved… In terms of real measures we have failed dramatically, under investment is clear despite spending close to £600m on players we rarely improved the first team especially once we got to a point over past 5yrs where we were making the CL. It has proved a long held theory of mine that ENIC have no interest in winning stuff, they want max return on min investment (like all businesses). If you were to rate our last decade you would give a B grade in honesty (good but must try harder) but comparing now to 10yrs ago misses one vital point, we have won nothing.
