Levy Wants 4 Years To Pay For Lo Celso

By The Boy -

There’s your hold up folks.

A source close to the club tells the Harry Hotspur blog that the Giovani Lo Celso to Spurs deal is all agreed, bar the terms of repayment plan. Levy wants to take 4 years and Betis want it cleared in 3.

The understanding is that Manchester United were indeed in the mix for the Argentine, and made Real Betis a solid offer. However, their £45million in cash was politely rejected.

Lo Celso, 23, gave Betis pretty straightforward instructions. It was either us or PSG.

The negotiations were comparatively brief, and the final price is thought to be £54million, or whatever exactly €60million is.

The rest you almost certainly know. The signing of Fekir green-lighted the move and now we wait for the terms to be thrashed out.

The odds of this deal going wrong are extremely slim, and perhaps this is good point to mention that loans of both Eric Dier and Erik Lamela to Real Betis have been discussed.

Whilst this is the usual Levy slapstick routine, one can’t help but feel that we have significantly moved on from the monumental fannying about that used to happen.
