“Levy as usual is having a laugh” “We don’t sign divers, Haaland please” So many fans react to Rio Ferdinand’s Controversial Remarks

By The Boy -

BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand believes that Harry Kane is too old and too injury-prone to command a big transfer move to a bigger club, according to his quotes carried in the Mail Online. Manchester City frontman Sergio Aguero has been on the wane for some time and this summer the Argentinian’s contract expires in June, that position will need to be filled – because top-flight sides that win trophies act in a manner that will best serve to continue that success. Opposed to wing it, to mend and make do.

Ferdinand believes that Harry Kane to Manchester City is a ship that has sailed and that whilst the England captain obviously has a tonne of positives about him, there are concerns about the intermittent injuries and running in parallel with this is the player’s age. Whilst Mourinho spoke recently of Kane’s possibly longevity this is, of course, the best-case scenario – and £100 million or whatever is a substantial amount of money, even for a football club.

Judging by these comments in reply to Rio’s quotes, it looks like many Manchester City fans wouldn’t green -light a swoop for the 27-year-old.

Personally I think Kane will be with us until he’s about 30 – and that’s not through choice.

I cannot see any team in Europe being able to afford what Levy wants, Real and Barca are in financial troubles (along with the whole of Serie A), Bayern openly say every year they cannot compete financially for huge names and I can’t see PSG being able to sustain fees and wages of Mbappe, Neymar and Kane (although those three would destroy europe) – sure you could sell one of Neymar or Mbappe to fund it….but who can afford them?

I think Harry is trapped due to the current global situation.

Not sure the city board and the fans share the same opinion, i’m sure if they think they can get him, they’ll go for it.

Conned the supporters? Speak for yourself mate. I knew exactly what’s been going on since levy decided to build a new stadium. NO MONEY FOR PLAYERS. levy has got us into Europe for half the time he’s been here (BROKE) when he first got here we had a rubbish squad with no money. The only thing I fault levy for is that it took him about 5 years before he realised we can’t compete at the non money making lane. We had no money to buy quality let alone pay them quality wages. Building the new stadium (making us able to financially compete) was fantastic work by levy. Without the new stadium son Kane ndom and bale wouldn’t be at the club. Gwarn levy.

Man City supporters = Entitled numpties.

Kane is FAR better than Gabriel Jesus, but if they don’t want him then we might be able to hold on to him, although I doubt it very much.

Just a load of comments from arrogant, know it all fans, who like fans of other ‘new money’ driven successful sides before them, suffer from a severe superiority complex, despite knowing fxxx all about anything. I’m sure most Spurs fans would be no different though.
I’ve no doubt Kane will be looking elsewhere, this summer; and there will be one or two teams willing to stump up the £100m+ necessary to bend Levy’s arm

Gabriel Jesus is a team player involved in build-up play. Isn’t Kane exactly that, only much better?

His whole thing these past months (and longer for England) has been dropping deep and putting others through apart from scoring a bunch of goals himself. He’s far more than just a centre forward these days, as proven by not just his assist tally but also his defensive numbers (clearances, duels won etc.)

Make no mistake, if there’s a chance, Pep will sign him up. If Sterling can get 20 goals a season or more in that team, imagine what Kane could do.

He could, and should . Bale will give him some pointers no doubt.

Watching City last night, neither Kane nor Aguero fits into City’s way of playing any more. If City could get Haaland for less than Levy’s valuation of Kane who do you think they should go for? I don’t see City going for either to be honest, as a false nine seems to work perfectly for them. Gabriel Jesus is a top player who gets involved in build up play and is a real team player. City spread their goals out across the team and have no need for a centre forward. They scored their 101st goal of the season last night without having a centre forward for virtually all of this term.

Yep. Scam artist, you only get 1 career in football. If we’d had stayed at WHL, and Poch was backed, Harry could have lived out his dream at Tottenham and won stuff. The Wembley nonsense plus transfer failings put the kibosh on any chance he had of achievement at Spurs.

To this day,Shearer maintains that he has no regrets about turning down Utd.However he had won the league with Blackburn Rovers.

Kane has been somewhat boxed in by events outside his control, namely covid and his injury record.Although that could be argued against by his insistence of playing every game instead of the manager being strong enough to rest him.

The fact remains that Kane is at a crossroads in his career. He stated that he wouldn’t remain at Spurs if they didn’t match his ambitions and that looks to be the case.Levy would demand a fee that is unlikely to be attainable in the current climate.

With Harry approaching his 28th. birthday his situation is exacerbated by Levy missing out on his valuation of his prize asset,so will he force a move?

“Kane is average”

Modern football fans ain’t half dumb.
Shoe in to break Shearers goal record…multiple 30 goal seasons. He would still get a glut at City and they’d be piss$ng themselves over it.

I hear that after the unmitigated disaster of VAR, a complete failure that has also destroyed the essence of the sport, now instead of just scrapping it and going back to how football should be, their answer??

Throw more technology at it?!!!😵😵😵

Yep, that weapon Jim White talking about “the pursuit of perfection”
Football was never about perfection. Nothing’s perfect.
These lunatics won’t stop until everything’s ruined.

Let’s hope City are as daft as their fans. 16 goals and 13 assists in the league for a side that has been struggling for two or three months now, plus 8 goals in 7 in the EL.

“Average” 😂 they have to play midfielders up front! Not that it doesn’t work, but with Kane, they’d be absolutely unstoppable.
