“Let’s see” – Fabrizio Romano expects attacker to complete transfer ‘in the final days’

By Mehdi Gokal -

Leeds United are showing interest in signing Tottenham winger Manor Solomon, according to insights from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Solomon, who was signed by Spurs on a free transfer last summer, does not seem to be part of Ange’s plans with the player also reportedly considering a move.

Romano suggests that Leeds are keen on Solomon as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the transfer deadline.

Although Solomon is under contract with the Lilywhites until 2028, there is growing speculation that he might depart in the final days of the window, particularly as he favours staying in England.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, the Italian journalist stated:

“Leeds could be an opportunity, it’s true as he’s one of the players they’ve considered. Let’s see if Leeds will decide to advance with this one and what the player wants to do. But Solomon is expected to leave Tottenham in the final days, with England being his preference.”

Solomon’s stint at Tottenham has been marred by difficulties. After arriving at the club through a special FIFA ruling that allowed foreign players in Ukraine to suspend their contracts due to the conflict, Solomon has found it hard to establish himself within the squad.

His challenges were compounded by a meniscus injury that sidelined him for a significant portion of the season, restricting him to just five Premier League appearances, where he provided two assists in a 5-2 victory over Burnley.

With limited opportunities at Spurs and fierce competition for starting spots, Solomon could view a move to Leeds as a chance to revive his career. Leeds, too, could benefit from his versatility and international experience as they seek to rebuild.
