Luis Campos has denied reports that he is looking to leave his role as Lille director of football and that he has held talks with Spurs among other teams.
Campos has done an excellent job at the French side, signing good players for a low fee and selling them on to bigger sides for huge profit.
Because of this reputation, it was reported that he was looking for a move away from the French side to a bigger team.
Tottenham and Newcastle were two English teams that were linked with him, however, he has now claimed that those rumours were false and that he hasn’t had talks with any team regarding his future.
Portuguese media outlet Record claims that he would most likely be staying put at Lille and they even quoted him saying:
“I have no contacts with any other clubs,” and he also denied discussing his future at the French side with anyone.
Campos is very good friends with Jose Mourinho and he even reportedly offered Tottenham the first right to sign some of his club’s top stars as they look for money to cushion the effect on the coronavirus pandemic.
Lille, however, has developed a reputation for asking for too much money for their players and that could see them struggle to sell their stars this summer.
