Juan Foyth has already admitted to the appeal of pastures new after failing to consistently break into the starting XI of either Mauricio Pochettino or José Mourinho, telling TNT “I would like to stay in Europe, all leagues have a high level. My wish is to play at the highest level as long as I can. The main thing is to play.” So if Foyth’s message is ‘play me or sell me’, what is the answer?
In this latest TNT report, there’s even less chance of a fair crack at the Argentine making his mark at Spurs. Foyth’s injury occurred on Wednesday, and the 22-year-old is understood to have injured the meniscus of his right knee. TNT understands that Lionel Scaloni and Dr. Daniel Martínez from the Argentinian national set up have been informed, which surely gives an indication of the seriousness of the situation, which could well require surgery.
Opinion
Foyth is suffering from the same problem as so manner other players, which is to say there’s been much chitter-chatter and very little evidence of being worth his wages. We must wish him well, and as a business, and hope that he is moved on in due course.
Player I always thought would slowly integrate into the team and turn out be a new (I don’t know let’s say) Richard Gough.
Foyth. Tattybye son
