Latest report claims Premier League club are expecting an approach from Tottenham – Daniel Levy is an admirer

Tottenham Hotspur’s search for a new manager seems to be stretching on indefinitely, as a long list of potential candidates have been linked with the job since the departure of Antonio Conte back in March.

The club’s pursuit of a new leader has taken various twists and turns, leaving fans and pundits eager for a resolution.

Initially, Julian Nagelsmann appeared to be the frontrunner for the position, but recent reports suggest that talks between the German coach and the club have broken down.

Allegedly, Nagelsmann had reservations regarding Tottenham’s transfer strategy, his authority over recruitment, and the identity of the next sporting director.

Luis Enrique, the former Spanish national team manager, was another prominent figure associated with the job.

However, he is believed to have removed himself from contention after initial discussions with the club.

Another intriguing possibility was Mauricio Pochettino who could have had a dream return to Spurs and while he reportedly was keen on it, it’s understood that the club chairman was not interested in bringing him back. He is now set to become the manager of Chelsea.

Tottenham has also been linked with a number of other names, ranging from Vincent Kompany and Brendan Rodgers to Arne Slot, Ruben Amorim, Roberto De Zerbi, and Thomas Frank of Brentford.

The latest reports from TalkSport suggest that Thomas Frank, who has done an impressive job with Brentford, is now on Tottenham’s radar.

It also claims that the club chairman Daniel Levy is said to be a big admirer of him.

The Danish manager has led the Bees to ninth place in the league table, just 4 points behind Tottenham and has impressed with their high-intensity attacking style of play.

As the hunt for a new manager continues, Tottenham fans eagerly await news of a breakthrough.

The appointment of Thomas Frank could be a gamble. Chelsea earlier this season appointed Graham Potter from Brighton and that did not work out and fans fear it could be similar for Frank.

Tottenham supporters would rather prefer a high profile name but only time will tell how the situation unfolds and who ultimately takes the reins at the North London club.
